You’re getting married! Congrats! The big day is going to be here sooner than you think, and it’s going to be spectacular. Over the years, I’ve come up with little tips ad tricks to keep the stress and nerves minimal. The last thing you need is for stress to keep you from enjoying your big day.

1 || Take a Deep Breath Before The Ceremony

You’ve been waiting the whole day for this part! Sometimes the stress and emotions can make you a little bit cloud headed. Taking a moment to take a few deep breathes is always great for bringing down the nerves and calming you down.

2 || Have A Point Of Contact

Assign a person or two to direct everyone on the day, answer questions, give directions, and assure things are on time.

3 || Eat & Drink Throughout The Day

You’ve seen those YouTube videos of fainting brides and grooms right? Avoid that by simply eating and drinking plenty of water during the day. Not only will this stop you from becoming the next online viral sensation, but you won’t feel hangry or irritated. Your wedding party will thank you!

4 || Include Buffer Time

Including some buffer time between events is a great way to reduce the stress and rush on the day. Add an extra 10 minutes for your drive to the ceremony, or extra 15 minutes for photo/video.

5 || Break in Your Shoes Before The Big Day

I can’t stress this enough! Your shoes are most likely fresh from the factory and might be a little tight. So be sure to wear them for a couple hours prior to the big day. No one likes to walk all day with blisters!

6 || Find a Time During The Wedding Day To Be Alone With Your Partner

One thing my couples consistently say is that the day goes by so fast. So it’s import to take a moment and just be in the present with your partner. Talk about the ugly crying you did that morning during the gift exchange, or the near fall you had while walking down the isle.

7 || Day Of Coordinator

You have no idea how amazing a good coordinator can be! If you have room in your budget, it is one of the best investments you can get. It takes all the stress of the day away, so you can concentrate on your partner and making the most of your big day.
